This ministry is assigned the purpose of WORSHIP. Their target is the CROWD. Their job is to plan and oversee weekend seeker services, special worship emphasis and events, and to provide music and worship resources to the rest of the church.

CELEBRATE God's Presence
(Worship)

Goals

All people experiencing a joyous, musical and prayerful worship celebration.

A variety of music coordinated by a gifted leader.

An intentional welcoming environment leading to a meaningful worship celebration.

Performance Expectations

This team works to:

•

Maintain a sense of JOY in worship.

•

Increase individual participation in various worship duties (e.g., more youth, women readers, more acolytes, more ushers, etc.).

•

Work to put multicultural inovations in place.

•

Coordinate and foster other enhancements in worship (choirs, bells, etc.).

•

Oversee and improve worship facilities.

•

Coordinate all auxilliary services, i.e., nursery, taping, equipment).

•

Maintain worship attendance records, communicate with church office.

•

Stay in communication with Altar Guild

Also responsible for Class 401 in the Life Development Institute.

This ministry is assigned the purpose of EVANGELISM. Their target is the COMMUNITY. Their job is to plan, promote, and oversee all of the churches bridge events, seeker groups, evangelism training, evangelistic activities and programs, and mission projects. They are to organize whatever it takes to reach our community and our world for Christ.

COMMUNICATE God's Message

Is motivated for community outreach because of compassionate love for serving the unchurched.

The team is well organized, trained and equipped to reach the targeted group.

This team works to:

Explore new ideas for outreach into our community.

•

Establish an intentional school-outreach sub-team.

•

Establish an outreach ministry to families of the Early Learning Center.

•

Help develop outreach strategy for Hispanic Ministry.

•

Contact every visitor to worship within 2 days of visit.

•

Use Lutheran Hour Ministry programs/referrals wisely.

•

Increase overall worship attendnce by both members and friends associated with Christ Lutheran.

Also responsible for Class 401 in the Life Development Institute.

CONGREGATIONAL LIFE MINISTRY TEAM

This ministry is assigned the purpose of FELLOWSHIP. Their target is the CONGREGATION. Their job is to care for the flock. They oversee all support groups, weddings, funerals, pastor care, hospital visitation, and benevolence within the congregation. Finally, this team is responsible for all major fellowship events within the church family.

Performance Expectations

This team works to:

•

Develop ideas for increasing congregational fellowship life.

•

Facilitate events called for by other teams.

•

Develop a strong sharing and caring network among members.

•

Be an aide in contacting all inactive members each year in a concerted effort to reactivate them in this fellowship of saints or to connect them with another Christian congregation.

Also responsible for Class 101 in the Life Development Institute.

EDUCATION MINISTRY TEAM

Their ministry is assigned the purpose of DISCIPLESHIP. Their target is the COMMITTED. Their job is to lead our member to deeper spiritual commitment. This ministry is leading in the development of our Life Development/Discipleship Institute. They also lead in all Bible studies, growth groups in homes, and special church-wide spiritual growth campaigns.

Performance Expectations

This team works to:

Develop strong discipleship-training program emphasizing:

clarity of understanding of doctrine (catechism)

ability to share one's faith

Biblically correct stewardship understanding

•

the role of fellowship and service in the Christian Life

spiritual gift recognition

management of Christian life and relationships

Increase stewardship levels of our members.

Develop leadership training ideas/programs/retreats.

•

Provide events/programs of education for all ages.

Also responsible for Class 201 in the Life Development Institute.

DEMONSTRATION MINISTRY TEAM

They also assist, train, and supervise the lay ministers of the church. The goal of this team is to help every member of the church find a meaningful place of service that best expresses his or her gifts and abilities.

Performance Expectations

This team works to:

•

Be a resource for other teams in developing service activities.

•

Supervise maintenance staff development/training.

•

Develop and prioritize list of maintenance and improvement projects (coordinating with Worship Team).

•

Be concerned for social ministry efforts (hunger walk, LMG, etc.).

•

Spearhead drives for disaster relief, as necessary.

Also responsible for Class 301 in the Life Development Institute.

PRAYER MINISTRY

Purpose

The Christ Lutheran Prayer Ministry exists to provide an open environment for all people to develop and grow through discovering and releasing the POWER OF PRAYER.
